Richard Hyman (LSE), founding editor of the European Journal of Industrial Relations and one of Europe’s greatest experts on trade unions and trade union history will present his ideas about the trade union responses to the current economic crisis. Will there be a European answer from the unions now governments seem to fail in agreeing a coordinated policy. Is this the moment for union pressure for more coordination in wage bargaining and pregress towards social Europe?
