Introductie

Heejung Chung (1977) is a post-doc Researcher at the sociology department at Tilburg University and a guest researcher at AIAS.
Heejung’s main research interests include welfare states and labour market, labour market flexibility & Flexicurity issues, labour market institutions, work-life balance/work-family conflict, working time arrangements, employment insecurity, cross-national data, multi-level modelling

She studied social welfare policy in Yonsei University in Korea (1997 – 2002) obtaining both her B.A, as well as her M.S.W. (Masters of Social Welfare). She has also worked for the Korean Labor Institute on and off from 2001 till 2004 and worked as a correspondent from 2004 to 2008. She obtained an MSc Research diploma from the University of Edinburgh (2004 – 2005) in Social Policy. She joined OSA in 2005 as a researcher for European Foundation projects on labour market flexibility issues. She has worked on her Ph.D thesis at ReflecT at Tilburg University from 2007 to 2009. From August to November 2007, and March 2008 she worked as a guest researcher at the Labour Market and Employment department at WZB (Social Science Research Centre in Berlin). From November 2007 she is a guest researcher at AIAS.
